Extraordinary You is a fantastic K-drama if you’ve ever wondered how characters from a comic or novel would act if they came to life. It has a unique plot that follows the story of our main characters that are supporting characters in the comic book from which they emerged!
Set in a high school in South Korea, Extraordinary You truly brings out the feelings of love, friendship, trust, and hope.
3. Guardian: The Lonely and Great God
Popularly known as ‘Goblin,’ this K-drama is a package of historical fiction, fantasy, romance, angst, and the perfect soundtracks to bind it all together. From luck bringing goblins to soft-hearted grim reapers, gods, goddesses, and a girl who can speak to ghosts, this K-drama has it all.
There is a reason why Goblin is the sixth-highest-rated K-drama in South Korea. A male lead with magical powers who appears every time you need him is truly a dream come true for most of us, and that is why this series is worth a watch.
4. Touch Your Heart
If you don’t have the energy to engage yourself in dense plotlines right now and would rather watch something light, Touch Your Heart is the K-drama for you.
It’s the ideal setting for a love story: a serious lawyer forced to associate with a quirky actress who defies his expectations yet manages to touch his heart. Not only is the chemistry between Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In-Na adorable, but some moments are sure to leave you smiling!
5. Descendants Of The Sun
A Special Forces Officer Yoo Shi-Jin and a civilian Doctor Kang Mo-Yeon, who fall in love despite their differences, is the story told in this K-drama, which blends two of the most famous clichés. Shi-Jin is involved in taking lives to protect others, and Mo-Yeon is in charge of saving lives which creates an exciting contrast in the plot.
Despite some dramatic parts, it preserves the essence of K-dramas by giving us moments to laugh and enjoy ourselves while also shedding a tear or two sometimes.
