KONNECT Entertainment To Take Legal Action Over Malicious Commenters

On the 28th, Kang Daniel’s company, KONNECT Entertainment made a statement on the homepage of Daniel’s official website about taking action against malicious commenters.

In their statement, KONNECT expressed their great gratitude for fans’ support for Kang Daniel. They are working hard to put an end to the malicious and defamatory comments online against the artist.

Since April 2020, the agency have been working alongside with LIWU Law Group to run the “Clean Internet Center.” They have continuously monitored posts that either have direct malicious slander, sexual harassment, and defamation against their artist. Fans have also been great help to giving tips on how to deal with these. While gathering the cases, KONNECT have been taking action by sending strict warning and requests to delete the posts.

However, despite the warnings and requests, commenters have still kept up their negative posts. KONNECT went ahead and sent a third round of complaints to the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office on July 24th. While these cases have decreased tremendously, there are those who still continue their slander and KONNECT will submit claims for damages for the individuals and hold them responsible after more investigation.

KONNECT Entertainment mentioned how even through all this effort and work, the emotional damage has been done to both the artist and their fans. They will continue to work hard to get a more mature online environment.

May Kang Daniel and KONNECT Entertainment get the justice they deserve!
