BLACKPINK’s Jennie Becomes First K-Pop Female Soloist to Chart Three Songs on Billboard Hot 100 Simultaneously
BLACKPINK’s Jennie has made history on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the first K-pop female soloist to have three songs chart simultaneously.
According to Billboard on March 18, Jennie’s latest solo title track Like JENNIE, from her newly released Ruby album, debuted at No. 83 on the March 22 Hot 100 chart, while “Handlebars“ featuring Dua Lipa entered at No. 80. Meanwhile, “ExtraL” featuring Doechii, which had previously dropped off the rankings, re-entered at No. 99.
With these entries, Jennie now holds the record for the most Billboard Hot 100 entries by a K-pop female soloist, with six songs. Her previous solo charting tracks include: “One Of The Girls” (No. 51) – collaboration with The Weeknd & Lily-Rose Depp
“Mantra” (No. 98)
“Love Hangover” (No. 96) – featuring Dominic Fike
“ExtraL” (previously peaked at No. 75)
In addition to her Billboard Hot 100 success, Jennie’s debut solo album “RUBY” has also made waves, ranking No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and No. 3 on the UK Official Albums Chart.
