[Exclusive Interview] cosmosy Talks Debut, Global Aspirations, and More!
Meet cosmosy, a Japanese four-member girl group making waves in the international music scene. With their unique blend of J-pop and K-pop elements, cosmosy is establishing itself as a fresh and innovative presence in the global pop landscape. Today, we spoke with the group about their debut, their music, and their aspirations for the future!

Congrats on your debut! Can you introduce yourselves to our readers?
cosmosy: We are a girl group consisting of four Japanese members. All members are in their teens, and we sing songs in three different languages. We are working hard to perform globally.
Your debut single, “zigy=zigy,” has already made waves globally. How does it feel to see such a huge response to your music so early in your career?
a’mei: It still doesn’t feel real, but I was really happy to see supportive comments from global fans.

WHAT’S THE MEANING BEHIND YOUR GROUP NAME, cosmosy?
cosmosy: ‘cosmosy’ symbolizes the “Possibilities of Youth” and the “Infinity of the Cosmos”, reflecting our mission to explore limitless potential and growth.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE cosmosy’s MUSIC STYLE?
cosmosy: We pursue a musical style that incorporates the good aspects of Japanese music along with eastern elements.
Do you have any fun or interesting behind-the-scenes stories from filming the “zigy=zigy” music video?
de_hana: During the hallway scene shoot, all the members ran together multiple times, and it was really fun. I ran last from the very back but ended up being the fastest and arrived first!
What’s the meaning behind your song “zigy=zigy”?
cosmosy: It delicately portrays the inner conflicts and struggles with identity faced by teenage girls confronting separation.
You sing in English, Korean, and Japanese. How important is it for you to connect with a global audience through multiple languages?
himesha: To succeed globally, we need to introduce ourselves to everyone around the world. For that, we consider language to be the most important tool.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR cosmosy? ARE THERE ANY GOALS OR PLANS YOU’RE EXCITED ABOUT?
kamión: We want to perform on music shows in Korea and Japan and expand our activities. Of course, we also want to perform in America!

cosmosy: Thank you all for your support! We are working hard to expand our activities so that we can meet you more often. Please continue to show us your love and warm support!
