Upcoming BLACKPINK’s Album hits 800,000 copies in Pre-Order Sales
BLACKPINK creates yet another banger that has topped charts worldwide!
Recently, on August 27, 2020, BLACKPINK released a single in collaboration with Selena Gomez.
The song title “ICE CREAM” is a sweet, cute, refreshing track unlike what Blackpink is used to creating. Nonetheless, the song has accumulated almost 177 million views in the week since its release.
Similar to the views, pre-sale orders for BLACKPINK’s upcoming album have soared. According to YG Entertainment, the amount of pre-order sales has reached over 800,000, including orders worldwide. Domestic orders itself have exceeded 530,000 copies.
The pre-sale opened up on August 28, and orders have been flying in nonstop for the past week. YG Entertainment says, “the actual order volume is expected to increase even more” since the actual album release is not set for another month.
YG Entertainment further states that “all songs included in ‘The Album’ will be released on October 2, and physical albums will be available online and offline nationwide on the 6th of the same month.”
The tracklist for the anticipated album has not been released yet. However, it will include the songs; “Sour Candy” with Lady Gaga, “How You Like That,” and “ICE CREAM” with Selena Gomez.
In other news, “ICE CREAM” reached No.1 on the iTunes Worldwide chart on its release with the MV trending within 7 days of its release. It has since then been in Spotify Global Top 50 chart and still frequently listened to among many fans!
