J.Fla Opens Up About Her Debut Album ‘Burn the Flower’ and the Journey from YouTuber to Music Artist

Meet J.Fla! She’s an emerging singer who has made the transition from a renowned YouTuber to a fully-fledged artist. However, J.Fla is much more than just a YouTuber; her music channels her deepest emotions into each melody, presenting authentic tales written by her own hand. Her album serves as a medium for her artistic vision, blending profound creativity with heartfelt sentiment. Today, Tokkistar had the opportunity to interview J.Fla about her latest album, “Burn the Flower,” her music career, and more!

Congratulations on the release of your first official album, can you tell us a bit about the meaning behind your song “Invisible Me.”

J.Fla: Like many others, I have also experienced difficult times. It’s when I feel like I’m invisible surpassing loneliness. This song was created with the intention of comforting and delivering a message of healing to those who are currently going through tough experiences, both the past version of myself and many others who are facing hardships.

Your journey from being a successful YouTuber to a singer-songwriter has been remarkable. How has this transition influenced your approach to music, and how do you think it has shaped your artistic growth?

J.Fla: I have felt that there is a different emotional weight as a composer and covering other artists’ songs. I feel much more cautious and carry a greater sense of gravity. It seems like my attitude toward music has changed.

Burn the Flower is described as an autobiographical narration of your journey so far. Could you tell us a bit more about the themes and emotions explored in the album and how they reflect your personal experiences?

J.Fla: I spent a lot of time writing the lyrics to convey my thoughts and feeling without adding or subtracting. I felt if I added or subtracted my feelings it wouldn’t be delivered. I never thought being authentic was so hard.

Could you share with us a memorable or significant moment you had while working on Burn the Flower?

J.Fla: I’ve got low-frequency hearing loss during the album process. Because I wore headphones too long while I was creating tracks in front of the computer. I would like to advise everyone not to wear headphones for more than an hour.

What can we expect from you in the future?

J.Fla: It’s absolutely doing a performance! Although nothing has been confirmed yet, I am preparing for a performance.

Lastly, what do you want your fans to take away from the Burn the Flower album? What message or emotions do you aim to convey through your music?

J.Fla: It’s comfort and healing. These are my musical goal. I hope that each and every one of you can be happy as much as possible, even though it may not always be the case!
