Seungkwan’s OST “Go” for New K-Drama “Record of Youth”
On September 7, Seungkwan of SEVENTEEN has released an OST titled “Go” for a fresh new K-Drama named “Record of Youth”.
“Go” is an uplifting song that talks about going towards your dreams. The path is rough and bumpy but we ride that hard road in hopes that there would be a brighter future. Seungkwan talks about working hard to make the efforts pay off. To get what we want in our lives, one must give everything they got towards it.
Much like the song, this new Kdrama, Record of Youth, talks about hard work and dreams.
Park Bo-Geum, Park So Dam, and Byeon Woo Seok star in this TV drama. Park Bo-Geum plays a model that hopes to become an actor one day. However, the journey uphill seems harder than it looks. He has the looks and the talent but what he lacks is the connections. Park Bo-Geum’s character, Sa Hye-Joon, isn’t really well-off. He works multiple part-time jobs to help fund his dream but without the support from his family, and with army draft notices coming in, he considers if he should give up, or trudge forward.
Park So Dam plays the character of a girl name Ahn Jung Ha trying to make it as a make-up artist. Things are harder than they seem for her and putting your best foot forward in this cutthroat entertainment industry, seems unachievable. However, Ahn Jung Ha gets through it as she thinks of her biggest role model Sa Hye-Joon. In hopes to meet him one day and in order to achieve her dreams, she fights the battle to the top.
Byeon Woo Seok’s character is a little different. He plays Won Hae Hyo, Sa Hyeon Joon’s best friend. He has more of a successful future ahead of him. With his family’s full-fledged support and his financial status, not a big problem, he seems to attack everything with ease in front of him.
These three characters have a lot to face in this Netflix drama. They are faced with many obstacles, but how will they go about them? We have yet to find out!
As of now, there are only two episodes out on Netflix. The next episode is set to release on September 14, Monday!
Sungkwan has previously sung an OST for the hit Kdrama “Mother” in 2018. This is Seungkwan’s first OST in two years. This heartwarming and uplifting song will surely be one to remember as we watch this show!
