Bumkey Asks, What Do You Want To Do When COVID-19 is Over?
On September 18th, R&B artist, Bumkey released the song “COVID-19” where he talks about his hopes that life will get better soon, and that everything will go back to normal.
These last couple of months have been tough. We’ve been trapped between our four walls doing the same things every day. Although there are days that are better than others, we all hope that there will come a time when this nightmare will end.
Bumkey expresses his feeling about COVID-19 in this upbeat song that talks about wanting to do absolutely anything after this pandemic is over. Like studying at a packed cafe, eat ice cream in the hot sun, or maybe it’s something as simple as just chilling by the beach.
On Twitter, Bumkey says that
” 신나는 음악이지만 만들 때 마냥 기쁘지만은 않았네요. 어린아이들이 마스크 없이 뛰노는 날이 오길 바래요 / Although this is a fun song, I wasn’t as happy making it. I hope there is a day when little kids can run around without masks.”
Bumkey, wrote this song, trying to connect with everyone who feels the same way. As a way to give us strength and lift our spirits, Bumkey has given us a sprinkle of hope in his song “COVID-19.”
It’s ok to not be ok during these times. It’s not easy and we only seem to hear bad news day in and day out. So, take time off for yourself. If you need the break, go ahead and turn everything off, just let yourself breathe.
If you need fresh air, go outside and take a walk, a car ride around the block, or maybe treat yourself a meal alone. Take your eyes off social media for a bit and let your brain recharge with just a long-needed rest.
You got this! You absolutely do! I’m rooting for you!
