Following their Wango Tango debut, A2O MAY was invited to attend the prestigious Gold House Gala, an annual celebration recognizing 100 Asian Pacific leaders shaping culture and society. Held on May 11, this year’s honorees included Jon M. Chu, Megan Thee Stallion, H.E.R., Daniel Dae Kim, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The event brought together a powerful mix of artists, athletes, executives, and influencers, including K-pop luminaries like Soo-Man Lee, Girls’ Generation members Hyoyeon, Tiffany, Sunny, and SUPER JUNIOR’s Siwon.
At the same time, A2O MAY achieved a major industry milestone as their pre-debut single, “Under My Skin,” remained on the U.S. Mediabase Top 40 Radio Chart for two consecutive weeks. After debuting at No. 39, the track’s sustained presence marks the group as the first Chinese idol girl group to break into and maintain a spot on the U.S. Top 40—an extraordinary feat that signals growing resonance with North American listeners. The Mediabase chart, which tracks airplay from over 180 major radio stations across the U.S. and Canada, is a key indicator of mainstream success.
