(INTERVIEW) AtHeart Talks Meaning Behind Debut EP “Plot Twist” and more!
Rising K Pop group AtHeart continues to build global momentum following the release of their debut EP Plot Twist. During a recent virtual press conference hosted by °1824, the group opened up about the deeper meaning behind their debut project and their growing presence in the United States.
Since their August debut, AtHeart has garnered critical acclaim and a rapidly growing fanbase. The group was crowned Billboard’s K Pop Rookie of the Month and named an Apple Music Korea Up Next Artist. Their debut EP Plot Twist and its viral title track have amassed over 15 million views on YouTube, while their live performances have earned praise from Rolling Stone and The Hollywood Reporter.
When TokkiStar asked the group to describe their debut EP in one word, the members leaned into the title itself.
Sarah from TokkiStar asked..
“If you could describe your debut EP Plot Twist in one word, what would it be and why?”
Rather than choosing a separate adjective, the group explained that the phrase
“plot twist” already captures their intention as artists. They described it as representing something unexpected and emotionally layered.

According to AtHeart, Plot Twist reflects their desire to pull a variety of emotions from listeners and to reveal different sides of who they are. Each song and performance is meant to surprise fans and show versatility, creating moments that feel both personal and unpredictable.
In their words, they want to showcase
“a variety of who we are”
allowing audiences to experience something that feels like a true plot twist.
TokkiStar also shared during the press conference that our subscribers frequently discuss AtHeart and their debut track “Plot Twist,” highlighting the growing excitement surrounding the group.
Beyond the press conference, AtHeart has already made a strong push into the U.S. market. The group recently launched major promotions in Los Angeles and New York, signaling a confident entry into the global music space.

They kicked off their U.S. promotions with the “AtHeart Experience” at Titan Content headquarters in Santa Monica, where fans from across the country gathered for a unique event combining live performances, interactive artwork, and fan participation. The group later held a meet and greet at K Pop Nara on Broadway in New York, connecting directly with local fans.
True to their name, which combines “Heart” with the symbol “@” to represent global connection, AtHeart reinforced this mission through the release of an English version of “Plot Twist” on October 10, along with a remix pack. The move further demonstrates their commitment to reaching international audiences early in their career.
With a debut era rooted in versatility, emotional range, and global outreach, AtHeart is positioning themselves as more than just another rookie group. If Plot Twist is any indication, fans can expect unexpected turns and evolving artistry in the chapters ahead.
