JUNHEE’s “Supernova” Tops iTunes Charts in Seven Countries, Showcasing Global Impact

K-pop artist JUNHEE has officially established his solo presence on the global stage with the release of his digital single “Supernova.”

According to PAN Entertainment and H&P Entertainment on August 19, “Supernova” quickly climbed the iTunes charts worldwide, securing the No. 1 spot in seven countries including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Hong Kong. The strong chart performance highlights the wide support of JUNHEE’s international fandom.

Strong Support in South America

South American fans played a major role in the single’s success. On August 18, “Supernova” topped the Argentina iTunes Dance chart, ranked No. 2 on the K-pop chart, and landed No. 2 overall across all genres. In Chile, the track reached No. 1 on the Dance chart and No. 2 on the K-pop chart, while in Colombia it secured No. 1 on both the overall and Dance charts. In Brazil, the single placed No. 4 on the Dance chart, further solidifying JUNHEE’s popularity across the region.

Breakthrough in North America and Europe

“Supernova” also made notable progress in North America. In the United States, the track reached No. 4 on the iTunes Dance chart and No. 10 on the K-pop chart. In Canada, it ranked No. 11 on the K-pop chart.

The momentum continued in Europe, where “Supernova” charted No. 3 on Spain’s Dance chart, No. 2 on the K-pop charts in Austria and Belgium, No. 6 in Italy, and No. 10 on the UK Dance chart. These placements reflect JUNHEE’s growing presence across multiple major music markets.

Expanding Global Reach

Beyond the Americas and Europe, the single also charted strongly across Asia and the Middle East. In Saudi Arabia, “Supernova” ranked No. 2 on the Dance chart, while entering the Top 10 on iTunes K-pop and Dance charts in countries such as Russia, Thailand, and Turkey.

High-Quality Production and Future Plans

Released on August 14, “Supernova” blends synth-pop, electric guitar basslines, disco-inspired strings, and addictive synth melodies, all elevated by JUNHEE’s standout vocals. The single was co-produced by PhD (Peter Balebik & Daniel Davison), a globally recognized duo who have worked with Kylie Minogue, Zedd & Katy Perry, Keith Urban & P!nk, as well as K-pop acts including RIIZE, NCT 127, TAEYEON, SHINee, and FIFTY FIFTY.

JUNHEE is currently promoting “Supernova” with live performances and content releases, with plans to follow up with an ambitious solo album aimed at his growing international fanbase.
