BLACKPINK’s “Lovesick Girls” MV Reaches 100 Million Views
Within the 75 hours from its release, BLACKPINK impressively adds another music video to their 100 million views collection!
YG Entertainment announced that on October 5th, the ‘Lovesick Girls’ MV exceeded 100 million views on YouTube at 4:20 PM KST. It has become the fourth fastest YouTube video to reach 100 million views. Additionally, it has become the 10th music video from BLACKPINK that has made this great achievement!
’Lovesick Girls’ is the title track for BLACKPINK’s first full album, ‘THE ALBUM.’ It is a anthemic song that has a melodic tune that incorporates a country-style guitar sound. BLACKPINK also showcases their unique vocals and rap that completes the song.
Jisoo and Jennie participated in writing the lyrics to the song. The song expresses the pain of love and heartbreak, but yearning to be loved again. The music video shows BLACKPINK in a more mature image than prior releases.
Currently, BLACKPINK’s YouTube channel have been getting an explosive increase of subscribers! The channel have risen by one million subscribers in two days after the release of the ‘Lovesick Girls’ music video. As of the 4th of October, they have set the record of 50 million people, giving the title of the 2nd most subscribed world artist on the platform.
