CAMO Interview: Talks About Tour And More
Meet CAMO, a Korean rapper and songwriter who has captivated many listeners with her lyricism and unique voice across the globe. Born, Park Chae-Ryung, CAMO debuted in 2020 and since then has become an influential artist with a growing fan-base.
Her North American tour, CAMO: WIFEY TOUR has been extended to two more stops and in this interview she talks a bit about her tour, music, and her experience moving from Hong Kong to Korea.
Can you tell us a little bit of what to expect for your upcoming tour?
CAMO: Hey Tokkistar! Y’all can expect a lot of energy and some new tracks. Been working hard on them and can’t wait to show them to y’all.
As your fan base grows are you planning on adding more cities from across the United States to future tours? Which cities do you wish to perform in?
CAMO: Yeah I’d love to come back on another tour. Been getting a lot of requests for cities in Texas – Dallas and Houston, ATL as well so would love to perform there. Honestly whatever city that would have me I’d love to go perform and catch each vibe.
Do you have a song that you’re excited to perform live for fans?
CAMO: My new tracks. I’m kinda nervous.. but I think my fans will love them!
How big was the change for you from moving from Hong Kong to Korea to pursue your dream career? Were there any challenges you faced?
CAMO: I moved to Korea in middle school with my family in 7th grade. It was a big change and it wasn’t the easiest getting used to. I’m glad I was able to stay strong and stay true to myself though, because when I started pursuing music as a career 3 years ago, it felt like my whole life kinda led me to that moment.
What or who inspires your lyrics and your songs?
CAMO: Everything really. My family, my friends and of course love. I’m pretty straightforward in my songs because that’s exactly what I’m feeling when I make them.
What do you hope your listeners take with them when they listen to your songs?
CAMO: I just hope one day in the far future, when they listen to my song again, they remember the times when they used to listen to them and be happy. lol if that makes sense.
Lastly, do you have any words of gratitude and encouragement to new and existing fans?
CAMO: Thank you so much for all the support and love, everything happened because of ya’ll, and I’ll never forget that. I miss you, and hope to see y’all soon for those of you who’s coming to the tour. Sending lots of love, <3
