K-Rock Meets Techno 2Z and DJ plomo Release Collaborative EP Highness
Korean rock band 2Z (BumJun, HoJin, JungHyun, and ZuNon) continue to push their sound forward with the release of their new EP Highness. Known for their powerful live performances and genre-blending rock identity, 2Z expand their artistry by teaming up with DJ and producer plomo, combining rock grit with electronic precision.
Released under GOGO2020 on August 19, 2025, Highness is a five-track project that highlights two standout originals“Borderline” and “Unreal” alongside three remixes that reinterpret 2Z’s catalog through plomo’s techno-driven style.
A New Chapter for 2Z
Since their debut, 2Z have built a strong international following with their unique sound and close relationship with their fandom, FromA. Highness represents a bold step in the band’s evolution, staying grounded in their rock roots while experimenting with electronic textures.
The collaboration with plomo feels natural. As a senior DJ and producer under the same agency and a creative influence on member ZuNon plomo brings his own style of techno and big beat production into the mix. His presence reshapes 2Z’s sound without losing its core identity.

“Borderline,” the EP’s centerpiece, unfolds as a two-part musical journey. The first half conveys the frustration of fading dreams under harsh reality, while the second transforms that struggle into hope, a message inspired by FromA’s support.
