SUPER M’s 100 Gains In Popularity
On August 13, SuperM released a catchy song along with its music video titled “100” that has caught the attention of fans all over the world. It’s fast-paced rhythm and captivating melodies has made this track an absolute hit!
SuperM is a boy group consisting of seven members each coming from other SM managed groups. There is Taemin of SHINee, Kai and Baekhyun of EXO, Taeyong and Mark of NCT, and Ten and Lucas of WayV.
Like F1 racing cars at a Nascar arena, SuperM is competing for their way up to the top. The song itself also gives a racing type of feeling as the track moves quickly from one beat to the next.
The members are all dressed in a racing type of attire with a bold makeup look. They look ready to face any challenges that come hurdling their way. Ready to become the speed that everyone is envious of.
SM Entertainment recently released a statement regarding the popular song, “100” as well its success abroad.
After the release of “100”, Forbes magazine created an article titled, “SuperM Starts The Second Era Of Their Career With High-Octane New Single ‘100’ “. With the release of Forbes article, SuperM proves that they are attracting attention from oversea listeners.
SM Entertainment says,
“SuperM made the rap poem a free chorus, making the whole song feel like one continuous hook into a fantastic work that mixes with vocal poems of other parts.”
In addition to Forbes magazine’s piece on Super M, Rolling Stone released an article on the song “100” as well. They said,
“With big, techno-style beats and an aggressive, thumping bass line that wraps around staccato-style raps and a slinky melody, “100” shows off the group’s versatility and range as they rap and sing about stepping onto the gas pedal to accelerate to the top..”
In about 3 minutes and 30 seconds, Super M delivered an exhilarating song for the year! This fun and energetic song will be the best song to listen to for that pill of energy during the start of the school year!
SM Entertainment also mentions that SuperM will release “SuperM the Stage”. This will allow fans to “…enjoy various stages of ‘100’ through YouTube’s SuperM channel and NAVER SMTOWN channel…”. It’s available on 20th at 12PM. Mark your calendars so you don’t miss out!
